SunnyCon Anime Expo 2026!!

We’ll be returning to SunnyCon Anime Expo in Newcastle Upon Tyne for it’s 15th year!
SunnyCon is our local show, and we’ve been proud supporters since the very beginning.
It’s an amazing 3-day weekend full of art, cosplay, guests, panels, and the annual charity auction, with something for all of the family.
The charity auction has raised money for many good causes over the years, and we’re sure this year will be no different!
This year the chosen charity is Sunderland Community Soup Kitchen. This wonderful group of people provide free hot meal services to the homeless and the less fortunate who need their support. As well as helping with other necessities such as clothing, toiletries, tents, sleeping bags and more.

Where To Find Us
SunnyCon takes over multiple floors of St James’ Park, with the Artist Alley being on Level 4. You can find us at Table 3, which is on the far wall to the right as you enter the hall. Simply take the lift or escalators to Level 4 and go through the door on the right.
There are some fantastic artists sharing Level 4 with us, as well as the main stage, official event merchandise, TCG tournaments, and the guest signing area. So make sure you stop by!
There’s still plenty to explore on the other floors too, including a chill out room for when the excitement gets too much;
- Ground Level – Wings: Panels, ranging from the health conscious and J-fashion to the excitement of the Gundam Speed Build!
- Ground Level – Park Grill: Sunny Lounge – an 18+ area with a bar and the place to be for the 18+ panels. Photo ID is required
- Level 2 – Platinum Suite: Traders – everything from anime merch, skilled crafters, treats, and more.
- Level 3 – Partners Suite: Workshops! From wig styling, and Japanese language sessions, to making K-Pop bracelets and clay sculpting.
- Level 4 – The Barracks: Artist Alley, guest signings, official event merch, and the main stage.

As well as old favourites such as comics, prints, and stickers, we also have the Fera book 1 paperback and some fun new additions.
I’ll also be taking commissions and working on convention sketches during the weekend including butt sketches, angelKat caricatures, and more!
Things To Do
Fantastic Butts & How To Draw Them
I’ll be hosting a workshop during the weekend too!
Fantastic Butts & How To Draw Them is a tongue-in-cheek art tutorial and discussion about anatomy with a focus on crafting fantastic butts.
Because of the subject matter this panel will be 18+ and ID will be required for entry.
Time & Date: Friday 19th June at 4:00pm in the Sunny Lounge (Park Grill, Ground Level)
SunnyCon Ribbon Rally
We’re also taking part in the SunnyCon Ribbon Rally!
Ribbons are earned with each £5 purchase, and we have 4 designs to choose from.
Collect one or as many designs as you can from participating artists and traders throughout the event. Ribbons include an adhesive strip to attach to your convention badge to show off your collection!
If you don’t have a badge, you can pick up a Ribbon Rally themed badge and a lanyard from our table, or one of the other participating artists. However, if we run out you should head over to the rally organisers, Skuldworks, on Level 2: Table T64!
