SunnyCon Anime Expo 2025!!

angelKat will be returning to SunnyCon Anime Expo in Newcastle Upon Tyne this weekend!
SunnyCon is our local show, and we’ve been proud supporters since the very beginning.
It’s a fantastic 3-day weekend full of art, cosplay, guests, panels, and the annual charity auction, with something for all of the family.

Where To Find Us
SunnyCon takes over multiple floors of St Jame’s Park, with the Artist Alley being on Level 4. You can find us at Table 4, which is on the far wall to the right as you enter the hall. Simply take the lift or escalators to Level 4 and go through the door on the right.
There are some amazing artists sharing Level 4 with us, as well as the main stage, official event merch, TCG tournaments, and the guest signing area. So make sure you stop by!
There’s still plenty to explore on the other floors too, including a chill out room for when the excitement gets too much;
- Level 2: Traders – everything from anime merch, skilled crafters, treats, and more.
- Level 3: Panels and workshops. You’ll also find the Wellbeing Room, and cloakroom on this floor.
- Level 4: Artist Alley, guest signings, official event merch, and the main stage.
- Level 6: Sunny Lounge – an 18+ area with a bar and the place to be for the 18+ panels. Photo ID is required.

We have a ton of new items available as well as some old favourites including a brand new Fera paperback combining issues 1 and 2 into a beautiful book. Art prints, stickers, keychains, pins, and tote bags.
I’ll also be taking commissions and working on convention sketches during the weekend including butt sketches, angelKat caricatures, and more!
Things To Do
Fantastic Butts & How To Draw Them
I’ll be hosting a workshop during the weekend too!
Fantastic Butts & How To Draw Them is a tongue-in-cheek art tutorial and discussion about anatomy with a focus on crafting fantastic butts.
Because of the subject matter this panel will be 18+ and ID will be required for entry.
Time & Date: Saturday at 2:15pm in the Sunny Lounge (Level 6)
SunnyCon Ribbon Rally
We’re also taking part in the SunnyCon Ribbon Rally!
Ribbons are earned with each £5 purchase, and we have 2 designs to choose from.
Collect one or as many designs as you can from participating artists and traders throughout the event. Ribbons include an adhesive strip to attach to your convention badge to show off your collection!
If you don’t have a badge, you can pick up a Ribbon Rally themed badge and a lanyard from Skuldworks on Level 2: Table T67 for only £2!
